Description

The SRL610 Series rigid rod GWR transmitter is the industrial answer for challenging applications where non-contact ultrasonic or free-space radar sensors fail due to structural tank obstructions, tight installation ports, or heavy surface turbulence. By guiding high-frequency microwave pulses directly down a solid metal rod, the signal remains perfectly contained, delivering precise, linear level readings all the way to the bottom of the vessel.

Through this consolidated page, you can dynamically configure your sensor by selecting one of three specialized engineering variants:

  • Standard Industrial Rod (SRL612): The ideal solution for standard industrial liquids, water processing, and mid-sized storage applications up to 5 meters in depth.

  • High-Temperature & High-Pressure Rod (SRL614): Inbuilt with a heavy-duty thermal isolation segment, this variant operates flawlessly in continuous process conditions up to 400°C and 4.0 MPa. Excellent for boiler steam drums and thermal oil systems.

  • Coaxial Tube Probe (SRL616): The rod is fully enclosed within a concentric metal pipe. This creates a benchmark 100% shielded environment that completely blocks out interference from heavy mechanical agitators while dramatically amplifying weak echo reflections on low-dielectric fluids (such as light oils, deoxidized water, and solvents).

Q: What unique advantage does the SRL616 Coaxial probe provide?

A: The outer coaxial tube acts as a dedicated bypass chamber. It prevents the radar signal from expanding outward, meaning it completely ignores nearby tank walls, internal ladders, or massive agitator blades while maximizing echo returns on challenging fluids like pure oils.

Q: Can these GWR sensors measure the oil-water interface layer?

A: Yes. Because the microwave pulse can partially pass through a low-dielectric upper layer (like oil) and completely reflect off a high-dielectric lower layer (like water), it can track both the total level and the exact boundary layer between them.

Q: What are the clearance rules for installing single-rod variations?

A: For the single-rod SRL612 and SRL614 models, ensure a minimum clearance distance of ≥300 mm from the tank wall and≥200 mm from any internal structural obstructions like heating coils or baffles.
