Q: How does the SRL630-LR handle heavy dust during silo filling cycles?

A: The SRL630-LR operates at a high 80GHz frequency, which has a very short wavelength and high energy concentration. Combined with Sentec’s dust-penetration algorithm, the radar wave passes straight through suspended airborne particles, reflecting off the actual solid surface below instead of the dust cloud.

Q: Do I need to buy a costly aiming/swivel flange to align the radar with the material slope?

A: No. Because 80GHz radar waves have superior reflection characteristics on sloped solid materials, the returned echo is highly stable even when reflecting off a steep cone. A standard horizontal flange installation is perfectly sufficient for the vast majority of dry bulk applications.

Q: What happens if fine powder builds up on the sensor’s lens over time?

A: The SRL630-LR utilizes a spherical, non-stick PTFE lens antenna. Its smooth, curved shape prevents powders from easily gathering on it.
